Yo ho ho, we're in beta!
Help has been split into the following categories to make life a little easier. Please click the relevant button below...
1) I can't get to the secure checkout page or I was trying to order and my order has disappeared!!
2) When I click on an audio link I get asked to play a M3U file. What is it and how do I play it?
3) Even though I log in, the site does not remember my details
4) Even though I add products to the basket, it tells me my basket is empty
5) No matter how many products I add it always says I only have 1.
7) I clicked on checkout and everything has disappeared from my basket!
8) The currency symbol next to the prices appears as a question mark (?)
When transferring from the 'your order has been accepted' (stage 3 of the checkout process) to Protx's secure site you can sometimes be locked out of your order if the Protx page doesn't load properly. Once the order is accepted your records are no longer on the shelf or in your basket, as they are now allocated to your order.
If you experience this problem please call Jez or Ollie as soon as possible on +44 (0)1372 378 342 or simply use our new contact form online. We would have received your order in our system but it will be flagged as 'incomplete', that is, payment would not have gone through yet. We can complete the order for you (you may have to call us, or we can call you, to get your card details) or we can return your records to the shelf at your request so you can try to order again. Please note that if you don't contact us within 24hrs of an 'incomplete' order your records will be returned to the store automatically.
Your card won't have been charged if you have not put your card details through successfully.
>> Back to the top <<M3U is a steaming file format for MP3's, its supported in Winamp, iTunes & Windows Media player. If you do not have any of these applications installed you'll not be able to listen to our clips. Sorry.
>> Back to the top <<You probably have cookies disabled in your browser. This site will not function without cookies. We use cookies as a way of identifying your shopping basket as you browse through our pages, and not for storing any other information about you.
The cookies used to browse through our site are designed to expire after half an hour of inactivity on the pages. If you spend more than half an hour without browsing to another page on the shop, your basket contents may be returned to stock.
If, whilst browsing the shop in Internet Explorer, you see a symbol resembling an eye with a "No Entry" sign in front of it in the lower right hand corner of the window, double click on this to verify whether or not cookies are disabled for this site. How to check cookies are enabled may vary in other browsers or versions of Internet Explorer other than version 6.
If you are using Internet Explorer 5 then it may be worth reading this article and trying the solution in it: article on Microsoft site. Please note that Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 is old, and no longer supported by Microsoft. It contains many flaws which leave you open to hackers and other nasty things - the minimum recommended version is 5.5. You can obtain Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 as well as many fixes to protect yourself from hackers here: Windows Update (this is an official Microsoft page).
Please note that our checkout page is secure, and our server employs strong (128bit) encryption to protect your credit card details in transit to and from our web server. You can verify this by clicking on the "padlock" symbol in the lower right hand corner of the browser window. Old versions of IE (pre 5.5 - for example, the one which comes with Windows 98) should be updated for 128bit encryption by using windows update to update to Internet explorer 6 or above.
Virtually all of these problems occur only with Internet Explorer 5 or below. One easy solution is to use a different web browser such as Mozilla.
>> Back to the top <<Please let us know if your card is like this, and who issued it. If there is no start date but the card works, we obviously will not be using this information to process your order. Just put in a date which you think is appropriate. Your order will be processed as normal.
You probably waited for too long before clicking on checkout. Your session may expire and the contents of your basket be returned to stock if you spend more than half an hour without browsing to another page on the site.

>> Back to the top <<Postage rates are calculated using Royal Mail & Parcelforce's tarrif guide for high volume account holders (like our good selves). You only pay the exact amount of postage required. We are constantly searching for cheaper and more efficient options for your deliveries. We make every effort to give you the option of choosing how you want your stuff sent. We recommend you choose a Recorded delivery option where available, as it saves you worrying about the postman rinsing out your tunes back at his yard. Not that they do that you know, where would we be without the postie, aye?
Orders recieved before 4pm GMT are sent the same day.

Now known offically as 'Kaizen Online LLP,' but 'Kaizen' or 'Kaizen Records' by everyone else, we have been the world's specialist in drum'n'bass since our birth in 2002. Started by the legend who is Kenton, his love for drum'n'bass and his witty persona gave Kaizen it's cheeky alter ego and offered something a bit different for all the heads out there! A personal touch, a sense of humour, and excellent customer service...
With 5 years successful enterprise, reluctantly Kenton eventually had to let go of Kaizen, his baby, to have his own baby (obviously I mean his wife had the baby, but, ahhh, you get the picture), and increasing family commitments meant he couldn't give Kaizen the love and attention it (rightly) deserved any longer. Ollie, a friend of Kenton's from TOV, and Jez a close friend of Ollie's, both passionate in all things bass, pots and pans, and vinyl was Kenton's first choice to offer the oppotunity to look after and nurture Kaizen...
2008 brought some fresh ideas into reality with the launch of the new site and the decision to support Dubstep, which is, may we say, an emerging new scene in Britain and now globally, one we should be proud of, and one we should support. It personally reminds us of what the scene was like back in the day when jungle was emerging... exciting, fresh, and raw!
With a disgusting addiction to vinyl, we wanna keep the heavy hand of digital at arms length and keep drum'n'bass and dubstep coming out on it's intended format, a beautiful 12" piece of plastic, and support the bedroom dj's keeping it real! We want to be approachable, and keep up the personal touch with you our customers, so if you have any suggestions of what we could do better, or what you'd like to see on our website please get in touch!
Peace,
Ollie and Jez
